You may experience one or more of the following:

Sign in with your HP account.

Check:

  • Subscription is Active

  • Printer is enrolled

  • Payment method is valid

  • No billing issues

If your subscription is suspended, printing may be disabled.

HP Instant Ink printers must regularly communicate with HP servers.

Resolve any alerts shown.

Step 5 – Check HP Account

Open:

Sometimes users accidentally register the printer under a different HP account.

Step 6 – Remove and Reinstall the Ink Cartridges

  1. Turn the printer on.

  2. Open the cartridge access door.

  3. Remove each cartridge.

  4. Wait 60 seconds.

  5. Clean the electrical contacts with a lint-free cloth.

  6. Reinstall the cartridges firmly.

  7. Close the cover.

Step 7 – Update Printer Firmware

Using HP Smart:

  • Subscription is active.

Update payment information if necessary.

Step 10 – Reconnect the Printer to HP Services
